Before you get work done, make sure that you will maximize your incentives and qualify for rebates.
Incentives are based on where you live and which utility company transports your energy. For example, if you are a Pepco Maryland distribution customer, but your energy is supplied by Clean Currents, you qualify!
NEW FOR 2013 - All customers are eligible for the FEDERAL RESIDENTIAL ENERGY EFFICIENT PROPERTY TAX CREDIT EXTENSION. This tax credit expired in 2011, but was re-started as part of the fiscal cliff legislation, and was made retroactive so it covers installed materials for 2012 and 2013. For more information, click here to visit the DSIRE incentives database.

A: You must complete your air sealing and insulation work within 1 year of your audit date. If you wait more than 1 year, then ecobeco needs to come out to re-test your home and update your audit report before you begin the improvements. We charge $100 for an update. Customers who have updates completed after February 1, 2013 are subject to the 2013 performance minimums for Home Performance rebates (see above).
