Through a combination of ecobeco employees and trusted third party contractors, ecobeco can implement the solutions you will hear about during an ecoAssessment. We can do the easy stuff – replacing your lights with CFLs or changing out your shower head to a low-flow model; and we can do the hard stuff – installing solar hot water heaters, sealing air leaks, insulating your attic, or weatherproofing your entire home. All ecobeco trusted third party contractors are licensed, bonded and insured and are in good standing with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission.

During your ecoAssessment or Home Energy Audit we will be able to estimate the costs and benefits for most of our service options so you understand the real impact to your pocketbook and the environment. A Safe and Healthy Interior

Air Quality Service - Based on your particular needs (allergies, odors, etc.) we implement the whole home air purification system for you.

Water Quality Service - Based on your particular needs, we implement a local (under-sink) or whole home water purification system.

Save Energy, Save Money

CFL Installation - We physically replace incandescent bulbs with matching color compact fluorescent bulbs. Our special equipment allows us to get to those hard-to-reach places.

HVAC services - We can recommend services for your major heating, ventilation or air conditioning appliances that will save you money. When the time is right, we can recommend replacement appliances that are EnergyStar certified. To learn more about geothermal options, click here.

Insulation Installation Service - We install eco-friendly insulation that brings your attic into compliance with the latest Department of Energy recommendation for the mid-Atlantic region, R-49. We can also insulate walls and floors as needed. This service should only be done after an air sealing service.

Light Control Installation - We replace light switches with timers and/or light-detecting and/or motion-controlled switches.

Programmable Thermostat Installation - We install and teach you to program a digital thermostat that saves you money by not running your HVAC system while you are away from home.

Solar Hot Water Heater Installation - Use the power of the sun to create hot water for your entire family. Your regular water heater is only used in the shortest winter days.

Solar Panel Installation -Grid-tied - Generate power for your entire home from the sun. Solar panels typically last more than 30 years and new federal and state tax credits make these more affordable than ever. If you’re not home during the day, your solar panels typically produce more energy than your home needs, which means your meter runs backwards!

Energy Star Roof Installation - We can replace your older roof with new, Energy Star certified roof shingles that will deflect rather than absorb solar heat, which makes you attic substantially cooler in the summer time.

Weatherproofing / Air Sealing Service - We seal and weatherproof your home using high quality caulk, foam and weather stripping materials to create a thermal barrier between your conditioned spaces and the outdoors/unconditioned spaces.
